Next Week

Dear all,

Last night it sounded great, thanks! You should have a much better idea now of which bits you can do off-copy and which ones you still need to look over. If you're having problems, please don't hesitate to come and speak to us.

This Sunday we shall be dancing again from 2-6 in L/N/002, and Anna will be stealing principals as and when she needs them.

Tuesday Week 3 we will be in L/037. Could we please have Newby, Lois and Lauren from 7.30, to be joined by Mark, Daniel and Sarah at 8.15.

Thursday Week 3 we will be in L/036 from 7.30 doing the Ahrimanes scene! Please have a look over the script we sent you before then. If you're not Jimmy G, Stuart, Helena or Sarah, you'll be playing a spirit ^_^. Please wear clothes you can dance in. This one in particular will be tricky if you're wearing a skirt. You'll see why.

If you've missed any rehearsals, please catch up on what happened. If we're busy, you can always corner someone who was there and ask them to go through it with you when you have a spare moment in rehearsals. Also, if you have to miss a rehearsal, please let us know, preferably by email or text. If you just tell us, we won't necessarily remember ^_^.

The tickets have been booked for Opera North's Ruddigore, which looks very exciting! If you had definitely replied 'yes' to the Facebook event then you now owe Jenny £12. Please pay her ASAP. There's loads of resources about the production and Ruddigore in general on the Opera North website. You can make a donation towards their costume budget (apparently upwards of £25,000!), read the Ruddigore blog, or find out about other Ruddigore-related events: www.operanorth.co.uk

There was also an interview with Michael Leigh, who directed the G&S film Topsy-Turvy, on BBC Radio Leeds today on the Paul Carrington show. It starts about a half-hour in. Finally, if you'd like to help out with making costumes, Jenny has loads of spirit cloaks that need sewing and would love it if people could help out. She'll be bringing a bundle to rehearsals, so grab a set and get stitching! It's really simple, anyone can do it and it would really help us out. And you, since you won't look like goofs onstage without finished costumes.

See you all on Sunday!

Your slowly-revolving directors,

-Anna, James, Jenny & Mike
