Not too late! (plus audition info)
Hi Everybody!
Here's a rundown of some useful information.
IT'S NOT TOO LATE
This is just to let anyone who couldn't come to the rehearsal last week
know that it's not too late to be in Ruddigore 2008! Just turn up to this
week's rehearsal which is at 7.30 in L037 (in Langwith at the end of the
corridor behind the vending machines) and we will be running through some
of the audition songs and providing scripts for the audition dialog.</p>
Rehearsals are every Thursday night and we have a thriving social scene so
don't be scared to turn up!
AUDITIONS
We've had a few questions about what we are expecting in the auditions. So
here I'm going to attempt to provide some answers.
Well first of all... DO NOT WORRY. We realise that most people will only
have encountered the audition songs in the previous week and that most
people will not know the intricacies of every character so we are not
expecting perfection (although if you can manage it, well done!). You do
not need to learn the dialog or to know the songs off by heart and people
can audition for as many characters as they like, although if you want to
audition for one part and then tell us the other parts that interest you
that's ok as well!
We will have a sign up sheet for auditions on Thursday and the auditions
will be held this Saturday and Sunday. If this is a problem for anyone just
tell one of the directors and we will attempt to sort something out.
